“I look, consider, tinker, and smile.”
I love making things easy to use. I’ve worked as an interaction designer for 2+ years, and my resumé and portfolio are available below. My Ph.D. is in philosophy, not design. Philosophy, like design, is a way of thinking and approaching problems and is not tied to a particular subject matter. I’ve found that the skills I developed while philosophizing—analyzing problems, organizing information, and articulating my ideas cogently—transferred quite readily to design thinking. I believe that what makes me a good designer is that I’m observant, empathetic, analytical, and creative.
