Think of others

One time we were all in the car with my grandparents driving and for some reason they stopped in the middle of the road. A few seconds passed and then all at the same time, my mother, my sister, and I all turned around to see if we were blocking a car behind us, who might have been wondering why we stopped in the middle of the road. There was no car behind us.

My father, while appreciative of my recent posts about him, was concerned for other readers who might not have had as positive experiences with their fathers, and didn’t want them to feel any tinges of sadness.

My wife is one of those people who, like my dad, can keep the whole conversation going revolving around the other person.

I can’t think of any situation where it’s not worth thinking about others. Think of others.
