Everything I Needed to Know about Business I Learned from Surfing (#4): Learn something from each wave.

Beginners will remain beginners if they don’t learn and change. There is something to learn from every wave that comes your way. What did you think it was going to do? What did it actually do? How did you ride it? How do you wish you rode it? There is also something to learn from every business interaction and opportunity. Each business activity is an opportunity to make your business better. What happens when you offer discounts? What happens when you go on social media? What happens when you change the price? What happens when you offer free shipping? I remember being amazed when I thought about how well a company like the Cheesecake Factory must know its business to just open up a huge location and know that people would come and it would be profitable. That was obviously not them catching their first wave. Learn something from each wave and apply it to the next wave.
