My two-year-old will walk over to me and sit down on my lap if I’m sitting on the ground. My four-year-old doesn’t do that anymore. Today, they both skipped their nap. Not even a long drive lulled them to sleep.
One of these days will be the day. My kid will get off my lap and not come back. They will skip their naps forever.
It’s hard to appreciate what you have until it’s gone. But I try.
