My New Year’s resolution this year was to start a blog and write a post everyday for a year. There have been several times in the past 6 months when I questioned whether it was worth it, but like many things, it feels easier to finish once you reach the halfway point. “That wasn’t so bad, I think I could do that again.”
When we’re only a quarter of the way done, perhaps we should think of that as being halfway to halfway done.
Half full or half empty, one quarter full or three quarters empty, the trick to being an optimist is to focus on the water, not the air.
“As you ramble on through life, Brother,
Whatever be your goal,
Keep your eye upon the doughnut,
And not upon the hole.”
—Margaret Atwood
