I was playing soccer once and I made a long pass to a teammate who then scored a goal. Right before I made the long pass, two of my teammates were calling for the ball asking me to make shorter passes to them. Right when I made the long pass, they thought I had made a bad decision, but they couldn’t see what I could see, because they were looking at me. After they turned to see who I did pass the ball to, they changed their minds and were happy that I made the pass that I did.
You might have people shouting at you to do one thing. And the right thing to do might be to ignore them and trust what you see.
