What’s right?

“What’s wrong?” is an easy question to ask. It’s easy to walk into a grocery store and see the spilled milk on Aisle 6. It’s easy to notice a great product’s one flaw. It’s harder to notice that the football holder did his job perfectly and held the ball in a way that allowed the kicker to kick a field goal. It’s much more obvious when he screws up than when he does his job perfectly.

Not everything is perfect. Nothing is perfect. We shouldn’t close our eyes and fool ourselves with compliments. But sometimes—more often than we do?—we should make it easier to compliment than to complain.

Take a moment—or five, to notice and appreciate what’s right. What’s going well?

Have to stay home to stay safe because of COVID-19? Thank goodness the entire world can communicate with each other these days and that we can take these steps to keep ourselves and others healthy.
