There are some things in life that you can do nothing about. Income tax is one of them. Sales tax is another. It helps me to think of many other life events as taxes too. Dust, for example. You can’t stop it from being around and falling on you. Leave something somewhere long enough and it will gather dust. Dust is like tax for not moving. You might discover one day that your car window is dusty, or that it has been smashed to pieces while you were away and your bag was stolen. Or that you didn’t see a parking sign and you got a parking ticket. Life tax. I don’t know what to call it but sometimes, the things aren’t worth fighting. Call it Life Tax. You’re not going to escape the dust. Just pay and move on to your next more exciting endeavor, and chalk it up to Life Tax.
